Happy Birthday to my sweet little ole man. Thor the love of my life.
My best Friend and 14 years companion.
I have had a wonderful Dalmation for 14 years now.
His wish is my command.
He has a natural eye liner around the baby blue eye's.
We were going to call him Sinatra,
changed it to Thor (God of thunder and Lighting,)
He loves horses, runs along with them.
He takes up 3/4 of my bed.
Starts talking to me at 6 AM to go outside.
Barks till I feed him and remembers every
scoop I put in. God forbid I forget one.
I say go poop and he does.
I say drink your water he drinks.
Get into the shower
Thor is sitting in the shower.
I have had dogs I loved over the years.
Growing up a Beagle called Nippy,
we had him 15 years. A pekingese called
Fugi. A Cocker Spaniel called Gucci. He was Dog Napped.
But in old age, Thor is my life.
After my Husband died, he lost 20 pounds
and the vet was worried.
When I had cancer he waited all day from 6- 7pm,
never urinated in the house.
He would drink 2 bowls of water
when I came in and sit on my feet.
Never thought I could love a dog so much.
He fills up my life and the house.
The Vet said,
"Look Yvonne, he is getting very old
please keep that in mind."
So I shower him with kisses and let him on the bed.
I say a prayer to God not to ever let him suffer.
HAVE YOU HUGGED YOUR DOG TODAY??

No, I have not hugged my dog because i do not have one. I am a cat person, although they have long since died.
This is a beautiful narative about your wonderful and faithful dog. I hope he has many more healthy years to come Yvonne.
Yvonne Thor is a gorgeous dog; his eyes are as if you can look into his soul. I HAVE hugged my dog and I hug her many times a day. Like you wrote, they know when you are hurt, sad, upset, ill, & they are always by your side. It's hard to count on people to be such as that. I agree with Barbara, I hope and pray that Thor has many more healthy, happy years with you. A touching tale of your sweet pup.
Now we all love Thor!!! what an amazing animal. I loved your stories about him. He is something really, really special and beyond a dog...I hug and kiss my cats more than my husband...they are special, and a very important part of my life....

What a blessing you have in Thor. Hugs, good talks and walks benefit us and our pet companions. Mandy is getting a hug and a few sweet words right now.

My dog Tigger has cancer of the bladder and on medicine but he is not in pain and filled with life and love,,,, in early June I thought he was a goner so I am so thankful to God he was spared a little while longer for me to have and love. Each moment is a blessing from God. I prayed very hard asking it that it be in God's will for him to stay a little longer and the answer was a resounding YES.
Shower Thor with kisses and live and love in the moment Yvonne.

Thor is so handsome and you are lucky to have each other!
I hug my dog, Sam, every day!!! I adore him. He's a 4 1/2 year-old Aussie. He's the sweetest dog in America (or so I tell him); he believes me, too. (However, I'm betting Thor can challenge him on that title.) I got him when he was a pup, just days after my 15-year-old Shar-Pei, Genghis, died. Genghis taught me/us a lot. I will always make room in my life for a dog. Wonderfully sweet post. Thanks for sharing, -susan
