Delightful post.

There is also a little stone chapel on the island, which Gibson built himself for his grandchildren.

Excellent post, Yvonne. I had heard that many of his works were modeled by Evelyn Nesbit. Sad the estate is going to ruin. I also like Harrison Fisher and Howard Chandler Christy's work.

I enjoyed reading this post Yvonne! What a shame the Gibson home went to ruins. I am a fan of Harrison Fisher's drawings ..very similar to Gibson's.

Fabulous post. So sad to know Mr. Gibson's mansion has gone to ruin. It looked like it was magnificent. Looking forward to more of the story. xx

I didn't know you were Ravishing Renee's mum?! I adore her.

I loved reading this. I found one of his large books in a used book shop in Sydney in 1986. It is one of my treasures. So glad to hear someone else is as much of a fan as I am. Great post!
Jeanne:)
