**************************************************************I thought these were the most handsome men in HOLLYWOOD when I was young and I still do and I am old.

REDFORD
I thought he WAS pretty sexy in the 80's

NOW THE MAN IN MY LIFE IS MY DOG.

SO HOW ABOUT SOME OF JULIA"S MOUSSE

Julia Child's Classic Chocolate Mousse

8 oz sweet or semi sweet baking chocolate, melted with
1/4 cup strong coffee
3 oz unsalted butter (6 Tb)
3 egg yolks
1 cup heavy cream (make sure it's the heavy variety)
3 egg whites
1/4 cup instant (finely ground) sugar
whipped cream (not so optional)

Beat the soft butter into the smoothly melted chocolate. One by one, beat in the egg yolks.
Beat the cream over ice until it leaves light traces on the surface.
Beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. While beating, sprinkle in the sugar by spoonfuls and continue beating until stiff shining peaks are formed.
Scrape the chocolate mixture down the side of the egg-white bowl, and delicately fold in the whipped cream.
Turn the mousse into attractive serving bowls. Cover and chill several hours. You may wish to decorate the mousse with swirls of whipped cream, or to pass whipped cream separately.

Hi Yvonne,
Weren't the Hollywood stars of those days so much more glamorous ?
My favourite was Steve McQueen and, I used to like Mel Gibson, but he hasn't worn well and is being a right ****** now, isn't he ?!!
I also find Johnny Depp quite fascinating and could spend an evening or two with him !!!!.... but, I'll settle for my husband of 33 years ! XXXX

I think that Cary Grant and Gregory Peck are far better than any of these dudes on screen nowadays! Love the mousse recipe, Yvonne. Thanks - you're the best!

Jackie,

I have two girl friends that a mad for Johnnie Depp.
When I met Steve MQ
he looked pretty bad, his skin
was a mess and his hair was in
bad shape. He was nice and had a gorgeous smile.

I'm so glad to hear your good news Yvonne! Thanks for letting me know ..I was thinking about you and hoping for the best.

Just think of all the delis you can visit while in NYC! I would miss a good pastrami on rye sandwich if I didn't live here.

My heart throb when I was young was Humphrey Bogart...I love the old "million Dollar Movies" and Casablanca melted my heart.

Julia's chocolate mousse is the very best!

Hello Yvonne Sweetie...
Congratulations, oh I am so thrilled. Sweetie I am doing the "happy dance" for you. A BIG congratulations. Cancer free for another year. YEAhhhhh!! Celebrate good times!!!

Now these men are just the sexiest men ever. I agree , I have lost all interest in Tom and Mel, they just don't have it anymore. Give me a James Brolin any time. I have always thought he was handsome.

How fun has this been? Thanks for sharing sweetie. Great post, and I am so thrilled again. This is going to be a GREAT year.

Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Hello!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.

Yours looks truly lovely.

In answer to your question, I wanted a Hebrew name. I was never really give one as a child, and it's a way for me to connect to my heritage.

I hope to visit again soon.

Sean Connery is STILL a heart throb! Also add Gable and Bogart to my list!

Don't forget Roger Livesey and Trevor Howard! Those classic stars are by far more sexy than the modern ones, although Anthony Hopkins makes me go weak in the knees.

Like annechovie, I've always loved Gregory Peck, and like Jackie, I have a bit of a crush on Johnny Depp. I have to admit, though, I'd take my husband over any Hollywood hunk any day.

Happy Valentine's Day, lovely Yvonne! xoxo
