I think my favorite it the White House luncheon -- agree love the chairs,
which oval office is your favorite? Mine is Jimmie Carters, maybe because I thought he was a great humanitarian.
Hope it isn't too cold back east in Maine?
warm wishes,

Hi Yvonne
I can see why you picked the green room.... lovely choice,,, I wonder who was the decorator?
hope you are doing fine I understand it is snowing down in NYC today.

Dear Yvonne,
The desk in the oval office was a gift from Queen Victoria and is made from the timbers of ' The Resolute'. This was a ship that went in search of Franklin who went to find the Northwest passage through the Arctic. My husband's great, great, great uncle was the carpenter on The Resolute and we have a footstool made of the same timbers, with a brass plaque on the front. I was thinking of offering it to The White House. It's in our loft at the moment !! There are many photographs of various Presidents with their feet up on the desk so I think that they need the footstool !!
The Oval Office is a beautiful room as are all the others, and it's good to see the different way that they have been decorated by different President's at different times. XXXX
The closet not a secret anymore! I like that!
Forgot! The tree in the back garden all knarled. It is a crab apple tree. It is all knarled because it is about 40 years old.
I like the colors of Clinton's Oval Office the best. Would love to see the same photo shot of all the presidents oval office colors. And yes, I too think former president Jimmy Carter is a wonderful person.
If you were the president, which designer would you hire? Today, my answer is David Easton.
