Tall Ships festival In Maine

YES, YES The Tall Ships are a Come To MIDCOAST ME.

It was a wonderful Day. Many people come to see them.

They come up past Port Clyde, Spruce Head, owls Head

into Rockland and on to Camden. For you land Lubbers
who missed it.

Towns of Camden, Rockland were ship builders

If you get to Camden go up to the fort on Mt. Batty . It

is some view.

Johnny was a
Real person.

His name was John Chapman. Born in Leo minster,Massachusetts.

The real story is he did travel to the mid west,

He settled land in Ohio and Indiana. He owned lots of land. He

sold apple seed and trees to the Settlers.

It was a Law you had to plant 5o apple trees the first year.

Don't forget William Tell who was forced and ordered to shoot an apple off his Son's Head. I bet the pants were wet afterwards.

It takes 4-5 years to produce. We had some apple trees that were planted in the mid 1800's on the farm. MyHusband would ride me around on the four wheeler and we would eat a different apple off each tree. I like crispy and sweet. We had Baldwin , Cortland, Mcintosh, Etc. Renee (daughter ) told me about JAZZ it is the best apple.

I love big baked apples with cinnamin and raisins It's not fatting .

My Drive into Town HO-Hum

I really don't mind the Drive.


I always go to the post office first,
then through as many scenic ways as possible.
That's if I am not in a rush. No one rushes in Maine.

The Artist is using watercolours, that's hard. I have never tried it.
I like to wipe off my mistakes.

Then I pass Watermans Beach. Lynn Snow lives here.
A famous watercolour painter has a shop in Town.
There is a great Lobster place on the water there too.
One of the oldest Salt water farm's I pass, Cows at the shore line.

Then the hard right turn at the Keag and past the Museum
and into Rockland. The Big Tall Ships are in port alot of 4 masted Barks.

The water under the bridge goes reverse
to the incoming tide. There are always men
Mackerel fishing at the rapids by the Keag bridge

The Art of the Sea Gallery are not very nice people. Some say just Rude.



The Keag store is fun and has great Pizza good cut meats.

The Owls Head Museum has a few weekends
a year that People ship their cars from
all over the states for the Antique Car shows.







They are ubiquitous in the villages
and towns. Some dress up old fashioned
with bonnets. They all look like they are having a ball.

Well It's really not as tall a ship

as the rest, I just missed them sailing up to Camden.

If you live where it's cold, I bought these moccassins in British Columbia, My Husband loved these slippers.

He said he never had a more comfortable slipper.
