December 7, Pearl Harbor Day
I was about 4 years old. It was a Sunday morning. My dad when he
was home red me the funny papers, then I had to listen to Opera and get a test after the Opera. This Sunday Dad was not here. My Mom was listening to Glenn miller on the radio. All of a sudden a news break, she threw her hands up and ran out of the house to the neighbors house. Everyone was crying. I tell you
after I found out we were at war
I was afraid.
I remember there was no bubble gum.
and we had books of ration stamps. I helped collect cans, etc. The Generation today has to remember how close we came to losing..
We are darn lucky we won. You could be working for 25 cents an hour.
It's time to take a minute and Thank God we won.

Do you like Orchids??
I am buying this for myself for Xmas.
It is elegante. Once a year it blooms,
so I can look forward to a cheap thrill in my old age.
Your best buy for the money Oncidiem.
It is so pretty and blooms twice a year.
I have a cymbidium,
Purchased it at the Green Thumb in Rockland 2002.
It has never bloomed, they said I was doing something wrong,
I have done everything but sing to it and stand on my head.
I won't buy my plants there.
This I have, beautiful but in Deerfield bech..
Love the Orange one
Treat yourself to an Orchid for Christmas. Happy Holidays.
It is exiciting when it blooms.
