Angela Brigdit Lansbury has always been
a favorite Actress of mine. I first saw her in Gaslight,
when I was a young girl. I have the video,
I watch my favorites every year. Never knew she was
only 18 years old in that film and was up for an Oscar.
Lansbury was born in London 1925
and moved to Hollywood in the 40's, during the London Blitz
Working at a dept store she was discovered.
Lansbury went to Feagin School of Drama.
In Gaslight with the top stars of Hollywood 1944 ,
she played a maid called Nancy the cast was INGRID BERGMAN,
and Charles Boyer. Imagine Landsbury was only 18 years old.
In one of the biggest classic Movies of our time.
My Daughter was working in FS Schumachers in NYC
and called me in Florida to say Angela Landsbury
had come into the store and she was elegant.
I did a happy dance.
After eight decades of Acting I guess
I have seen most of her movies.
Loved the movie Dorian Grey,
Tried to never miss Murder She Wrote
I still watch reruns. I live in Maine now.
Then there was the movie Anastasia,
Then Manchurian Candidate was a great movie.
Broadway I saw her in Mame, she was in so many plays.
Didn't get to see Gypsy , Darn it!
At 87 she is just amazing, what a Lady she is.
Long live the Queen, of Acting. I just love her.
Not many will fill her shoes.

How funny ..... I have just watched her in a film called ' Mrs Harris goes to Paris' !! Probably not one of her best films but she was still lovely in it !

Angela Landsbury is one of my favorite actresses too! I am a fool for English accent :-) They sound just absolutely beautiful to me.

Let me tell you, I believe that our older actors, writers, artists and just about ANYONE OUT THERE in this age group has more wisdom and experience stored up in them. For that, they should always be recognized. I am actually excited that if God accords to me a long life, that I can contribute wisdom and beauty to the world. I loved DORIAN GRAY and GASLIGHT! I have not seen all her movies, but what she has done is of monumental proportions. I also love MAGGIE SMITH from Downton Abby!

How true she is very versatile and as beautiful as she was when she was young she aged gracefully a testament to her credit for as we know not many Hollywood beauties get to act in good parts when they age.
All the shows and Television series you mention were also my favorites... I had forgotten how much I enjoyed her acting.
