Never
again,

I filled my window  boxes with evergreens and saw
all these wonderful berry's. It looked beautiful with the greens.
This morning they were all eaten by birds.........
Guess I'll try Rose Hips next.

I often
wonder if
this is the
 bird
that came
 last year.

These Turkeys
are almost
 3 ft high

Here they come
just like cats killing
the birds.

There is
a Lynx
we saw
2 years
ago.
Hope they
haven't
shot him
too.

Introducing
Pepe
Le Pew.

My Daughter
feeds him
 carrots.

Well that's all Folks. Hope you all
have a great Thanksgiving. I am not watching
TV news anymore. Maybe after Thanksgiving.

  1. Yvonne, LOVE those wild birds !! Living where you do must be kinda like heaven. About hunters? No words. Have a lovely holiday with Renee and her husband, my friend. I have no idea what I'm doing as my kids make plans with their friends and never tell me until the last minute. Maybe I'll go to Italy for Thanksgiving. I don't care if it's cold and rainy there ... I still love it. Or a cruise? Down to the Bahamas where the water is just beautiful. Sending love....

  2. Hello my dear Yvonne! WE TOO have wild turkeys roaming in our gardens! But I enjoy them. And we also have those adorable woodchucks and I hope that they are kept safe rather than have people hurt them. And my friend, thank you for coming to visit. I was in shock yesterday, but I'm trying to pick myself up, carry on, and simply pray. Much love.

  5. Friends have been deer hunting this year. Sadly, not a deer shot. Our state is over populated with deer. Car/deer crashes are significant, deer don't get enough to eat, many sickly deer. They need to be culled for their health, and for road safety.

So many areas Americans are not good stewards.

    Nature is a hard teacher.

Had to laugh about your berries !! What we do vs. what happens, too funny. Putting pots/pails under the house for storage I put them upside down to prevent snakes. Moving them months later, they were coated inside with black widow spiders. There went my best effort ! Yes, killed them all.

We are in thick fire smoke for days, thick. North Georgia has raging wildfires. State has had no rain in months, winds & low humidity are holding smoke, it's not dissipating. Getting worse by the day.

    XOT

  6. Poor turkeys! Their meat has earned a "place of honor" at the table on Thanksgiving. I like turkey meat, and yet I would gladly do without it. I'm against the slaughter.

  7. Not watching the news either, Yvonne. I'm done. Great post, love those berries. Well, birds can't be blamed for not resisting. :)
