Life

Life is like a Mirage
 that vanishes during the
cruel business of everyday life.
No matter our circumstances

 or our talents,
WE are meant to be Whoever
 we are at this
moment in time.
Looking back, we see the stepping stones we

have traveled, which represents our failures
and successes, our tears and fears, our pain and our happiness.
These stones of our Emotional self make us the Person

who stands alone. Except we are never alone because
God  stands beside us. He does not expect a perfect person
but a strong person who has Faith in him.

Come Spring

Can't wait till I can look out my living
room window and see the Japanese Magnolia
in bloom. You see, on the way to deliver
my Daughter, in February the street was lined
with Pink Magnolias trees. My Mamma was in
the cab with me saying how beautiful the pink
petals are blowing everywhere. It's a sign of a girl.

Starving for some color,
enough of the
white stuff.

Where are the crocus?

Last spring I passed a
cafe with sign saying
"Come Spring".
All summer, thought to myself, wonder why they didn't
open. Then fall came and a friend said "Lets lunch at
Come Spring". I said they aren't open yet,the sign is still
there. Then I learned that was the name of the cafe.
 Who knew?

Remember 1935 and World War Two?

I remember that Sunday
 morning Pearl Harbor was Hit,
The Neighbors were running up
the street and hanging on fences
talking and crying to each other

After that we has Ration stamps
for Gas and food, people had
Victory Gardens, Women were
Canning everything.
    Bombshelters  were being dug.
.

Here's the books Mamma
had in the
Kitchen Drawer.

Then our scrap drives the kids went all
over  Looking in barns garages for metal
and rubber, news papers.

I remember this Poster.
Loose Lips Sink Ships.
Like the over seas letters
we got that every other line was
blacked out.
.

.
There was the black Market we were
told to tell our parents if we saw
 something funny.

They were trying to keep prices down
at the Grocery stores. Rising Prices
were bad.
Well That's the way I remember it all.

There were huge Cauldron Iron pots
a wonderful fire place, slate floors and wicked tall grass with
edges like razor blades. Lots of rock walls in front of the house.

Castle Dunluce was originally built in 1500 by the McQuillans,
who came from Scotland in the 1200s as hired mercenaries
and built the castle around 200 years later.
McQuillans held the castle for about 55 years before
it was taken by the MacDonnells,
who came over from Islay in 1554. They still own the castle,
but now live in Glenarm.
Dunluce was taken by force from the McQuillans by
Sorley Boy McDonnell after the Battle of Orla in 1565.
It’s said the McDonnells covered a bog with rushes
and stationed a few men on firm ground, fooling
the McQuillans into charging into the bog. Over
a 100-year period, the castle was besieged on numerous
occasions by the English.

If you love Dogs watch this.

If you Love Dogs
you will love this
True story.

I have seen this movie
3 times and it is fantastic.

This is a very moving
Dog story, Get a box
of Kleenex.

Richard Gere is wonderful

For years, Hachiko used
to wait at Shibuya train
 station for its master,
 a professor at the
University of Tokyo.
Even after the professor died,
the dog went to the station to
wait for his master every afternoon
for a decade until he finally died.
My Dog lost 20 pounds after my Husband died. I really believe this. 8 months later
I put his four wheeler out of work shop to sell. My dog sat next to the bike all day
and I had to get a friend to carry him inside. I will never love a dog like my Thor.
