I am sure it was in good taste.
Compared to what I see today on
Television ,
that comes into my home
unannounced. I haven't any
say about it.

I can imagine Clair de Lune playing
and the feathers floating , with Sally
strolling around the stage. The Men had
to be mesmerized.






Sally Rand's Fan Dance
was performed by Peggy Davis
In the movie 1983 The Right Stuff
story of Houston Astronaut's.
It was a very Beautiful Dance.

SALLY ran away from
home at 13 and was a cigarette girl in fancy clubs.
Born 1904-1979 In the 1920 she appeared in silent films.
Cecil B. De Mille
changed her namefrom Billie Beck to SALLY RAND.


She was featured in 25 or more
Movies Bolero 1934 was one.
They were bad wrapped so much.
The Vegas Show girls do about
the same thing.. Strut their stuff.

I like the Fan part..
In 1950's she was on of TV shows.
In the GOLDEN GATE INTERNATIONAL EXPO
Sally had the "Sally Rand's"Nude Ranch"


HERE"S A STORY..Chicago World's Fair----
Sally rode a white horse up the main streets
she was arrested four times in one day. WOW !!!
Think that was a publicity stunt?

Everyone knows her real name was Louise Havoc



Sister June made it in the movies.

( remember Baby June)?
Gypsy Rose Lee was born in
Seattle Washington, 1911


Her sister June Havoc sang and
Tapped her way to Hollywood.



Gypsy went into Minskie's Burlesque.

She was Star billing.
Later went to Hollywood and did some
movies,
then went back to Broadway.

In New York, Gypsy met Mike Todd.
She went into producing films with him
and fell in love with Mike.

Yes, same Mike Todd that Liz Taylor later Married.

There is a new Book out called Gypsy
I have to get it.
I think The Movie Gypsy is going to be on Television this week..
