Horse racing is the second most widely attended spectator sport in America. The first race track was laid out on Long Island in 1665. Then the American Stud book began in 1868. By 1890 there were 314 race tracks across America. In 1894 America's most prominent track and stable owners met to form the Jockey club in 1894 The Jockey club was formed in England in 1702 during Queen Anne's reign and to this day exercises complete control over English Racing.
You too could have flamingo's if you put out as much shrimp as as the race track does. It is very expensive to feed these babies. These birds the Egyptians worshiped. They are found in Africa, Peru,Caribbean, on lakes and marshes. They fly 300 miles a night and during the day they fly very high to avoid predators.Their bond is very strong, they are social and some colonies
are in the thousands, Scientists say they are dying out near Kenya because of the avian cholera or pesticides. Some Flamingo's have different colors, it's the shrimp in the diet that makes them pink. The babies are born white.
Does anyone know why they stand on one leg?
