They say there are about an
estimated 50,000 Americans
living in Paris.
I always thought I should live
in Paris, Why ?
well, here are some that have,
Sinclair Lewis,
Scott Fitzgerald, Cole Porter,
Mary Cassatt,
Isadora Duncan, John Singer Sargent,
Whistler,
Ralph Waldo Emerson, Mark Twain,
Irwin Shaw,
Henry Miller, Thomas Jefferson,
Ben Franklin,
Ernest Hemingway.
Golly, the list goes on and on.
************ YOU CAN"T SAY IT DID THEM ANY HARM.
So hello all of you lucky Chaps
living in Paris, wish I was there.
Edith Piaf is one
of my favorites.
love when she
sings Padam -Padam.
I adore Charles . Aznavour
************
The ideal trip would be for several women to
go together and split an apt. Stay three weeks
and really get the true feeling of Paris.
I dreamed of a garret in that area..
I would love to rent here.
Olivia de Havilland has always
been a favorite of mine and my Mama's.
She is 3 years younger than my Mother,
I thought her best movie was The Heiress.
Olivia is English and born in Tokyo.
She is the sister if Joan Fontaine.
I followed her in the news and
on special TV shows.
Her home was elegant and it was so interesting
watching her shop at markets for that night's
dinner. The French shop every day, not like us Americans that shop for a week. Maybe some
of you never heard of her,
but she was a great star.
When I was in Paris, I remember Americans all looking to fine Bridgette Bardot's home.
I was looking for Piaf's Haunts.
still has IT!
