Holy Cow! All my star gazers and Casa Blanca Lily's
have had the Buds cut off.
Golly they are getting out of control..
They are every where.

Is it deer or slugs?
This is the monster. The red lily leaf beetle
These slugs are getting big.
They say salt will kill them.
I am building a toad house and pool, they eat them.
I guess they are French Toads.
Try Escargot a la Bourguignon.
They say egg shells work.??
Have you any advise? How about vinegar?
All my Hosta was also eaten by deer.
May be spray it with tabasco sauce?
I am at my wit's end.
Maine is getting some hot weather, will be in high Eighties.
That ends the yard work. I'll be back blogging on hot days .
Love you guy's......
I think "The Donald"
is a slug.He is repulsive.
A real Hate monger.
He causes violance,
just for a lark. Wonder if
eggshells will stop him.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahah I wonder if egg shells work for BAFOONS! As for the slugs.....I have no idea. We don't have them here, we've never, ever seen them in our gardens!
ReplyDeleteGood luck my friend, as you find what will work. I'm cleaning my house and ridding myself of spiders who took a few bites out of me; I applied Benedryal to the bites this morning and I had an allergic reaction to the cream! Gotta get rid of all spiders, even in Washington!
Slug is a nice word for him. Worse that that. Leech, maybe. Sorry about all the slugs.
ReplyDeleteYikes I have ants, I swear they will pick up my house and swallow it up one of these days, I sprayed , cleaned removed whatever it took . Well it worked for a day and this morning they were back in full force......
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with your slug fest.
smiles..
Great post! I love your humor and combination of gardening and politics. Good luck with the slug situation.
ReplyDeleteAs with ants, killing is not the problem but Prevention. I kill with water. I spill water on ants and drown them. I spill HOT water on slugs and cause them to disintegrate.
ReplyDeleteLol! Definitely a good definition of that slime-ball! We have slugs here, too. I use 'Sluggo' - it is non-toxic to birds and wildlife and comes in pellet form. You can also use a pie pan or shallow pan full of beer. The slugs love it and drown in it. It's gross to empty, though! As for the deer....that is tough. I've tried motion lights and that seems to work. Also, hair from your brush. Put it around the plants. I don't recommend using predator urine (you can buy coyote urine in sporting good stores and it works) because it lures the predators. Whirly gigs or even tin can lids on string work, too. Anything that moves.......Good luck and hope it cools off for you! xx Karen
