The Lobster Fest Parade
I love a parade.
These people love the Summers.
The Navy is in, God Bless them.
Happy People and the Bands.
Also beautiful Sailors,
there were Marines and
Coast Guard too and a few Army.
Lobster Trap walk
from the boat. They
sometimes fall in the
cold Atlantic.
Then Comes Dinner and is it wonderful,
salt air and all

Oh Yvonne, you are bringing back such great memories of when we first moved to Massachusetts! The first thing we did was drive up to Maine and get LOBSTA dinner. You are right; there is nothing like the ocean air and a great seafood dinner. We used to also frequent Marblehead, Mass every summer for the Fourth of July and the parades and picnics there were unforgettable.

I myself don't eat lobsters, but the Lobster Fest Parade in your city looks like an amazing event. No wonder it draws a large crowd as it is colorful, funny, and with a lot of street activities. It's an ideal summer event, and a great way to spend a day.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun colorful festival,,, but I do not eat lobster,, I always think of that sitcom, I Love Lucy show where she is with her friend Gale Gordon - and Lucy is suppose to put the live lobster in the boiling water, and she cant bring herself to do it so she lets it loose on the t.v. show, but doesn't tell anyone well of course Gale Gordon finds it by sitting on it --- it was hilarious! It looks like your day was filled with fun and joy and no lobster sitting,,,smiles.
