cliffs and Ocean.
I have always felt
totally wired inside
my body when around it.
After finding my GrandMothers
small stone cottage in Sligo, Ireland
about 900 feet from the cliffs and Atlantic,
I had goose bumps. The hair on the back
of my neck rose up. As I walked around,
the Grass was like razor blades. Don't
know what kind of grass it was, but I
won't grow it. Well, anyway here's
some shots we took along the Gorgous
Maine coast. Starting South to MidCoast
and Bar Harbor.
This is Cape Elizabeth Light
This is the coast line at end
of the cove at my house..
Next is 10 minutes away by the
airport It's Owls Head Light.
The light is way back on top
of cliff. We went sailing past
it this Summer
This is 7 Minutes away
from me.
The Marshall Point
Light House in
Port Clyde
Swans Island
Bar Harbor,
Arcadia Park. These wonderful
bridges and carrage roads
were built by
John D. Rockefeller, SR.
More of the drive
along the coast
in Bar Harbor
The Park in BarHarbor
is a Bikers Paradise.
Saw this and
thought of a Joke.
"Politicians are
people who, when
they see
the light at the end
of the Tunnel,
Run out and
Buy some
more Tunnel..."
This is in the last of Summer, Bar Harbor.
This is why Millionaire's live here .
It's beautiful right?

ReplyDeleteThe view offered by cliffs and ocean is a very dramatic one. Standing on a cliff, one sees the vastness of the ocean and huge waves crashing against the rocks- and one feels part of the big Nature's drama.
The quote about politicians is not a joke, it's truth. These people are destroying the world systematically.
I need to pull out my old photos of when we first moved to the east. We immediately drove up to Maine and saw the breathtaking cliffs and light houses and I was smitten. ENJOY the weekend, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteI am also in fond of breathtaking cliffs and shores and woodlands...Maine looks such a gorgeous area to visit.Your selection of photos do justice to the beauty of the place, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Yvonne!

More than beautiful . . . GORGEOUS . . .
ReplyDeleteI wonder what it says about me . . .
to prefer living high up and looking out over the sea.
It would make very happy . . . but I do wonder
what it would be like at night.
Very dark . . . with the sea roaring!
