Had no children, the 2 pieces of family I do have are several states away. Beloved is not on his children's Thanksgiving day list, they're doing obligations with wider family, you know, divorce and the many households that creates.

ReplyDeleteNot everyone is looking forward to sit at the table with family. Some people I know plan their travels only around holiday times to avoid encounter with relatives - encounter which might open up past and current wounds and conflicts.
