Lupines in Maine.
I picked some for table
what a mess when
they come to an end.
My drive way
this year
was gorgeous.
It's the time
of year, it's great
to be alive an
see such wonder.
Rhododendrons
I planted in 2006.
Azalea's from red
to bright orange.
Creeping phlox is also
doing well this year.
Yellow lilies
are blooming
I noticed my
Star Gazers had been
eaten by deer. Damn!
I love the deer,
they are so
beautiful,
but boy do I
hate it when
they eat my
budding lilies.
I used Seven dust in my
Casa Blanca lilies.
They are still there.
Mock orange smells so sweet
Yellow
Loose strife
Imagine that $50 an hour with no education. All they want to do
is ride the mower, some will not trim weed wack or rake or anything. Not even owns a blower to blow the grass off the
driveway. I asked him to use a push mower with a bad in the dog yard, said his tractor couldn't get through the gate. He said I don't push a mower.
God forbid they push a mower. How much do ya want to bet
they collect every $ from the govt they can.
Bet they don't pay tax either. Want cash..Seems that the State
should stop the price gouging. It's a crime to charge that amount.
One guy said "It's my Big equipment" Hellooooo,
all you need is a self prop mower. Half that big riding equipment
gets stuck when it rains so that's an excuse not to finish cutting.
Then they leave MUD on my drive.
How much do you pay?

Your flowers are gorgeous, Yvonne! Well, we do our own lawn since it's small patches. The rest is evergreen shrubs that we planted on the hill so my husband could stop twisting his ankle every time he mowed! Yeah, the BIG equipment......what happened to the BIG muscle it took to make a living?
ReplyDeleteYes what a beautiful garden Yvonne, how do you manage it all. Yes they charge a lot here in the Pacific North West, too, very frustrating,
ReplyDeleteHer go to a big store like Lowes, or Home Depot and get a nice little riding mower for yourself, smile,
Do you remember the I Love Lucy show where she raises tulips and pesters Ricky to mow the lawn, but he doesn't realize how important it is ... So, Lucy tries to mow the lawn herself, and she ends up riding the power mower all over town, not knowing how to stop the machine. ... then she mows down her prize tulips and the neighbors tulips and plants wax ones before the judges arrive,,, which they melt in the hot sun before their very eyes.... such great comedy
We pay a gardening company $35.00 an hour in California. A lot for unskilled labor.
