I entered a few paintings and didn't get a ribbon this year. Can't wait to get cataracts done. I am really
afraid to get it done. Well we are close to the end of Summer.
I have volunteered 2 days a week ( 10 ) hours working at the Catholic Soup Kitchen, My how time flies when you are busy.

ReplyDeleteI have not had the surgery myself but so many of my friends have and it is so quick and painless they said,... and they wondered why they waited so long..one friend said he forgot how bright and intense colors were, the sky the flowers the farmers market fruits and veggies ... etc ...like being a child again with a box of crayons melting in the summer sun across the canvas.
Dearest Yvonne, HELLO! About the cataract surgery....I'm only going to be 60 in April, and my eye doctor detected I have the early stages of cataracts. Now that the surgery is not as invasive as before, and yes, Joanna up above is right, it's FAST, that even I am not dreading having it done. I won't need it any time too soon because on a scale of 1-4, I'm only at a 1 for now. I hope you will have it done!

ReplyDeleteBe thankful and positive and cut them some slack ,,,they are busy because many people are needing this kind of surgery.... be grateful that you are able to have this surgery and will see again - remember Monet how his art suffered when his sight became impaired....
My older son had to have eye surgery and it went very smoothly, I was in the waiting room and the time went by quickly I hardly had time to cry and panic & think negative thoughts like what if,,, and his eye surgery was over,,, we all were filled with appreciation for the skill of this surgeon...
