This may be
the last thing
I ever say.
Wake up!
It's the Children
we have to care about.
Progress is going too
fast.The world is
spinning out of control.
They have sucked the
inside of the planet
out for fuel,
Wonder why the Quakes?
They are being triggered by the biggest and most
important industry in the state: oil and gas production
The oceans just look. all dead. all the pollution in the ocean
all the trash.
Alaska and
the trash in
the ocean.
Hello Sarah!
Clean it up.
All these Charities
are a way to get rich.
Haiti doesn't want
anymore rice.
Check out Africa, they
are rich, Emeralds,
Diamonds, Oil. They don't need help WE DO!
It doesn't take a smart person to see that the govt. OR-somebody has a payoff from the rice company's.
I am guessing here. Maybe I am wrong but something
is going on here. Why are we sending money to the middle east, they have OIL.

I've also asked myself why the USA is giving money - money she doesn't have- to the entire world. The places you've mentioned(Africa, Asia, Middle East)are deadly corrupted with and by american money. It seems americans don't care about their government's "aid" policies at all.
ReplyDeleteYes dear lady MONEY is at the heart of it all. The true American public has so much to do during their daily grind that they do not have the time to deal with the problem so the greedy B-----ds have full range to get rich on others misery.
ReplyDeleteThen again we know this really nice man who goes each year to help in Africa and he now says he is not going back as the people there DO NOT care.
The American Indians knew best "Take care of Mother Earth and she will take care of you." The Black lives matter have really nothing to complain about but the American Indian sure does.
Sorry I get on my soap box too often but I am frustrated that we do not take care of the earth as it should be done. Peace
Wendell Berry been writing about this for decades, his essays you will love, even those from the 60's. Just as fresh as if written today.
ReplyDeleteHave collected Home Economic books, ca. early 20th century, for decades. They read political to me now. Women made clothes, cooked meals, canned, grew vegetable gardens, reupholstered furniture, cut hair, did basic first aid, decorated, crafted, involved in the community, church, raised children who became the greatest generation, were the 'woman' behind each great man, and so much more.
Add up what their families did not spend in the macro economy. Politicians HAD to get women out of the house. Sales/marketing started feminism. Stretching to international banking today, they are calling it the new feudal system, a rentier world. Most of the world cannot afford their own home, nor provide their basic needs, all must be bought from the larger economy, from, ta-da you guessed, the 1%. Average middle-class amerikan family today has 2 working adults, they buy their food, have a mortgage, have a car loan, pay someone to keep their kids and the list goes on. A RENTIER society. Feudalism.
Learned how to crab during vacation this summer, loved the feeling of knowing 1 more layer of providing for myself. Of course, after buying the fishing license.
Forget people, "Put your faith in the humus that will build under the trees every thousand years." Wendell Berry.

Wow. I love what Tara had to say up above....yes dear Yvonne, something is going out of control and I often think what my father and uncle would think about this fiasco that's taking place in the world, our country....there is so much I could say here, but I'll just agree that yes, something is terribly wrong, and all that's changed is how CONTROL looks, but it's still control of the masses by a very few rich.
ReplyDeleteyes this is serious, and the things you mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg...
ReplyDeleteHopi Indians have prophesied many of these situations that are occurring in our times....
"In the time of the Seventh Fire, a New People would emerge. They would retrace their steps to find the wisdom that was left by the side of the trail long ago. Their steps would take them to the elders, who they would ask to guide them on their journey. If the New People remain strong in their quest, the sacred drum will again sound its voice. There will be an awakening of the people, and the sacred fire will again be lit. At this time, the light-skinned race will be given a choice between two roads. One road is the road of greed and technology without wisdom or respect for life. This road represents a rush to destruction. The other road is spirituality, a slower path that includes respect for all living things. If we choose the spiritual path, we can light yet another fire, an Eight Fire, and begin an extended period of Peace and healthy growth." -- Grandfather William Commanda, Chief of the Indians of the Americas, Founder, Circle of All Nations Prophecy of the Seven Fires of the Anishnabe, From Ancient Wampum Belt
Hi Yvonne and all

I guess it all starts with each one of us. It's the little things that add up - give to reputable charities, support local business, vote in local elections because that is what matters most, be kind, be honest, be a good citizen, don't hate, don't litter, recycle, don't use pesticides, etc. etc. If all we do is complain without taking action - it just stays the same. The little things add up to make this a better world. There is a lot of good around us. We need to stop listening to all the bad news ......
